Ah, sweet memories

So this is a picture I found last spring at my Mom's house. I found it again this morning on my computer. I'm on the right: notice how my tom-boy mother dresses me and my toy of choice. My cousin Tiffany is on the left: notice how her feminine mother dresses her and her toy of choice. These differences between us can be seen today, 25 years later. Tiffany is always in makeup and fashionable clothes. You mostly see me in a t-shirt and flip-flops. I absolutely love this picture because I think it totally sums up our relationship. I was always into mischief, as is suggested by my look, and Tiffany was such a goody-goody. She cried EVERY TIME we got into trouble, as is suggested by her look. Poor girl. Actually, I'm pretty sure this parallels the relationship my mom has with her mom. I got us all into trouble until we got married. Now when we're all together, we're too tired to get anyone into trouble. I took a picture of Olivia with her cousin John that so reminded me of this picture of Tiffany and me. I hope they grow up to be good friends, too. I know Tiff reads my blog, so I just thought I'd share.

I must protest! In my defense, I do believe your memory is a bit unreliable. I will fully admit that I am a girly girl. I love my makeup! And I love clothes! However, I am not a wussy girly girl and most certainly not a crying one! In all of my memories of us when we were younger I don't remember getting into trouble. I think you like to think you are the "bad" girl. But really, you're not. And even if we did get in trouble, it was probably the result of both of us, not you as the sole ringleader in trouble. And even then, I know I wouldn't cry about it. So sorry to disappoint your image of me, but no cry baby here.
