I'm back!

I realize I'm a little late updating my blog. Sorry. Procrastination and me are a packaged deal. We had a great time in Nebraska with my family for Christmas. Olivia was really spoiled with lots of presents, mostly clothes and books. My youngest sister and her hubby were there and my middle sister was there. The only group missing was my brother's family who spent the holidays making traditions of their own in Virginia. As predicted, it was freezing! I forgot how cold it gets out there. It's cold enough that when we ran out of room in the fridge, we put the food out on the back porch. "Want leftover soup for lunch? It's on the back porch." "Oh, I forgot to put the fudge out. Run and get it...it's on the back porch." I would have liked to stay longer, but we got home just in time. Olivia had a burning-up fever the night we got home. It lingered for a few days before disappearing and leaving behind a cough. Now all that's left is a runny nose. On the way back we spent the night with my good friend Tracy in St. Louis (well, St. Charles, which is just outside of St. Louis). It was a great visit and a pleasant way to break up the trip. I forgot how much I miss her! I MISS YOU TRACY!! She's pretty crazy, and I think her life stresses some people out, but she's always been a calming influence on me and a true blue friend. So, all in all, a great holiday season. I'm already looking forward to next year, although I think we're going to fly!
