Once there was a snowman...

...who only lived for two days. This weekend it snowed in Alabama! Those readers living out of state should have heard all the commotion! Of course the paper had pictures of people buying up all the milk and bread they could put their hands on. I mean, really, it's just a little white fluff! That said, I purely enjoyed myself. This was the kind of snow I like: thick and fluffy one day, gone the next! No chance for it to get slushy and dirty or freeze over and get icy. No shoveling sidewalks and driveways. Wonderful! We went to Magnolia this weekend to get more firewood for our fireplace (thanks to a father-in-law who lives in a forest with a hydraulic log-splitter) and to play in the snow. Aubrey, of course, picked on his sister and his neices and nephews. He and his brother-in-law went sledding and were really feeling it the next day! Aubrey tried to get me to go, but I don't like tugging the sled back up the hill, so I've retired from the sport. The only sledding I do is tied to the back of a horse (and I do mean sledding, not sleigh riding). Olivia was out in it long enough to take pictures before retreating indoors with Nana to watch from the big picture window. I tried to take some photographs, but my hands got too cold so I didn't get very many. Bummer, too, because the trees were beautiful in their white snow suits.

Wow! Looks fun! We didn't get nearly that much snow, but we did get a little.
