It's almost been a month since I've posted. That's a new record for me, I think. Aubrey and I took Olivia to Utah and had a blast. We stayed with my Grandma and I saw all my favorite aunts and cousins. It was so much fun to watch our kids play together and reminisce about ourselves when we were that age. Time marches on, huh? My mom, dad and sisters were there so they got to spend time with Olivia. We had an early birthday party for her and my parents gave her lots of cute things. I couple of books and a onesie that says "My mom and I love the Huskers." It's totally cute and I appreciate that it's grammatically correct. Mom also got Olivia a musical card and she spend probably a good 10 minutes opening and closing it and trying to pull the music maker out. She still likes to play with it.
After that visit, we went to see Aubrey's sister Donna and her kids. We had a good time. We went to Temple Square and toured the Church's Conference Center, which is beautiful, and took lots of great pictures. The next day, we also hiked to the Mt. Timpanogas (sp?) cave. It was 1.5 miles with a 1,200-foot change in elevation. All of us, including my nieces, hiked it and it took us almost one hour and 45 minutes. We thought we'd never reach the top! The cave was really neat. It also cooled us down...it was only about 40 degrees. Going back down was so much easier...it only took us 30 minutes! God bless gravity! While we were at Donna's, Aubrey and I got to go to a movie. It was the first time we'd been out since December when we went to eat at Cypress Inn for our anniversary. It was a much needed date! Also, I got to see my friend Lacy. She came over for dinner Saturday night and we had a good time catching up. Donna and Jacob grew up with some of the people we know from college and it was really fun to hear their stories about them.
The flights there and back were great. Olivia was very well behaved, as usual. In fact, she slept all through both flights on the way home. She was so worn out from her week. My power is blinking in and out, so I better post this now. We've had lots of thunder and lightening but hardly any rain. I'll post pictures in a slide show this weekend, so be sure and check back!

I'm glad you got to got to Timp cave. I wish the scheduling would have worked out better so we all could of gone...and by "we all" I mean mom and me (pretty sure dad and des would not have been up for it). I didn't know Lacy was in Utah...this is Sarah's Lacy right?
oops...I mean Sara
How cool! I hiked up to that cave when I was young, I loved it! I mean, I H-A-T-E-D the ascent, but the cave was just amazing...
I'm so glad you are back.... I've been getting bored from not reading your blog! Sounds like your trip went well... we are going to be in UT for a few hours, we're stopping in Ogden on our way to Boise. I can't wait to see pictures!

What?!?!? Savanna! You don't know me! I am a much more active person than I was a few months ago & I resent that remark!
