Have you been bitten yet?

This post is a long time coming. My sisters-in-law totally got me hooked on three vampire books that are super popular out west. They are: "Twilight", "New Moon", and "Eclipse" by Stephanie Meyer. Many of you have probably already heard about them. My sister Savanna told me about them a long time ago but I never read them because I thought they sounded stupid. I'm more into Jane Austen for my romance, Harry Potter & Lord of the Rings for my fantasy and Clive Cussler for my adventure (middle earth and orks are so much more believable than vampires and werewolves). Anyway, Aubrey's sisters had been sharing the books and while we were in Magnolia for Thanksgiving, Christie got me to read the first one. I reluctantly agreed and read it all in one night. I couldn't put it down. I can't really tell you what it is about them that is so addictive. I read the other two the same way...all at once. Anyway, if you haven't read them, you need to read them and see for yourself. It's not even a story I can identify with...I mean, who can? It's about a high schooler in love with a vampire. Have any of us been there before? The only thing I can relate to is the sweet smell of the vampire's breath (two words, Sara: Josh Whipple). I can only tell you that after I read this series, I wished Aubrey was a vampire AND a werewolf.

I have been bitten. I don't even like to read, but I read all 3 in a week. I can't wait for the 4th one. I burned myself with the 3 barrel waver. Tim said, it looks like a vampire bit you. I smiled and told him I wouldn't mind if it was Edward. :) Maybe I am a little too into the books.

Yes, I've read them as well. They are really good, but I'm not totally obsessed over them. And, and I love Clive Cussler! I don't know of anyone else who has read his books. And of course, Jane Austen, just love her books.

I am laughing so hard at this post! I LOVE the books too! It took me a while to get into #1, but once I did I was hooked! It's hard not to compare Chris to Edward and Jacob! HAHA!

What cracks me up is that in Tracy's blog post to tag for the 3 lines of the nearest book, she even references Twilight as a must read!! I have heard about them, but have yet to pick them up. Might have to run to Barnes & Noble on my lunch today... hmmm.

So funny EVERYONE here has read them and they keep talking about them. We have a book club that I'm finally going to be able to start attending and they read them two months ago...needless to say I'm a little behind but since I did just finish the last Harry Potter today..I'll need something else to become addicted to!

Ps thanks for the phone call yesterday...

Kelli Richins let me borrow hers..she read all three in four days, so there must be something to these books...I'm looking forward to reading them, as soon asI get through my Grisham book,Innocent Man. It's not that great, but once I start a book, I feel like I should finish it.

If you read Damon's post on his blog about him being a 14 year old fat girl, you will understand my love of the Twilight series a little. I take full credit in getting Caroline hooked.
