House of Junk
About a month ago, I read on my friend Courtney's blog that she was going to clean out her basement and have a garage sale. I want to have one, too, so I mentioned to her the possibility of me joining her, since I probably wouldn't have enough stuff to sell on my own. Boy, howdy, was I ever wrong! I started going through clothes Saturday and already have piles and piles of them to sell. I threw even more of them away, including my favorite pair of jeans from high school that have the seat totally ripped out of them. Why did I keep those? Why is the sky blue? Only a true nerd knows. I've designated the guest room as my yard sale stock room and the double bed is already filling up with piles fast. I didn't even make it through the closet and I haven't even touched the garage. Good grief! Now that my hidden piles of junk are exposed I absolutely cannot wait to get rid of them all! It will be the first step in my spring rennovation of yard and house!

Well, boy Howdy! You're funny! Good luck at your garage sale. Tim and I had one a few years back. I felt like I was getting rid of stuff left and right. I was really excited, we only made about $100 but then we donated the rest and it was so nice to feel like my house was free of junk
Girl! I knew you had to have enough for one! It is just that we never realize how much we accumulate until we sit & go through it all. As for the jeans with no seat: LOL, the things I have found & realized were ancient are too many to list. I love doing a yard sale, it is nice to know that even though I am asking myself "What was I thinking when I bought this?" there is someone else out there loving that item, maybe for the same reason I originally bought it... makes you not feel so silly. :)
I want to come for one!!! BY the way I should have new pics of Isabel posted tonight or tomorrow!!!
I wish I had had the energy to have a garage sale before we moved from Texas. I took some much stuff to Goodwill! It's so liberating getting rid of stuff. That's the one and only thing I like about moving; I get to go through everything and de-junk!
Good luck! I have never had a yard sale because Chris refuses! Maybe cause his momma has one every couple of months!
